Boxie, a robot created at MIT Media Lab, relies on adorableness rather than artificial intelligence to meet its goals. - This is something I’m very fascinated in. Its very interesting to see how it picks up on similar ques that of a small pet or a child to enlist the help of others for interaction.

How can I get my outside IP from Linux...
I cant tell you how many times I’ve been working on a Linux server that is behind a firewall (command-line only) and I need to know the outside IP address for DNS or configuration or what have you. In the past I would do a ‘wget ipchicken.com’ or something and then look at the HTML and find my IP. This is pretty painful because you then have to parse and HTML file and find it....
